Hi, I’m Dr. Joe Ravera, the creator and voice of PEM GEMS. I am the Director Of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center and an Assistant Professor at the UVM Larner College of Medicine.

I did my residency in EM and my fellowship in PEM, both in sunny southern California. After an adventure, living and working in New Zealand, I came to the University of Vermont and have been here since 2017.

I am passionate about both pediatric emergency medicine and medical education. These two ideas are the cornerstones of this podcast.
